WWWJ sits nestled in the beautiful
Blue Ridge Mountains of Southwestern
Virginia. The station went on the air
for the first time on April 1st, 1947 as
WBOB and is one of the longest
running radio stations in U.S. History.
The station is currently owned and
operated by Twin County Broadcasting
Corporation, and operates from its
location at 325 Poplar Knob Rd. The
Galax area and the Twin Counties of
Carroll and Grayson have a rich
musical heritage with a strong
influence of Gospel and Bluegrass
music, and play Host to the world's
largest Fiddler's Convention each year.
